The classroom is mostly full of empty chairs. In order to conduct reading and writing exercises, the students are sometimes compelled to sit still for a long time in a row, like rabbits, while the adults write. In one corner a young man is fidgeting about, while his teacher sits cross-legged on the arm of his chair, quietly reading. In the end, the students learn to love books, and begin writing in their own blood.
