The windows behave like picture frames, creating a three-dimensional appearance of space. They are an artistic effect, performed with words. They thus produce a rim around the outside of ordinary language. They are an artistic utilization of the interior, and cause a break or discontinuity between the outside and the interior. They are actions of fracturing open the texts that proliferate around them. They are other uses of the same instrument. They therefore form a parallel system. The system is broken up into time periods which are marked by regularities. The consecutiveness of the instants is compensated for by the periodic nature of the uses to which they are put.
